The Next Three Days

Russell Crowe plays a man who will stop at nothing to get his wife out of prison, and Elizabeth Banks plays his wife who's been convicted of murder.  To what extent will Crowe go to get her out?  The film was written and directed by Academy Award winner Paul Haggis, who wrote 'Million Dollar Baby' and wrote and directed 'Crash' and 'In the Valley of Elah' (a great underseen film.)  Haggis' attention to detail really makes the difference between his films and most other dramas.

I don't want to say much more about it because it's a great film that grabs you and doesn't let go and I think it was totally underrated and underseen in theaters.  The DVD cover looks cheesy.  The film is not.  It's edge-of-your-seat thrilling.  Add one to my Best of 2010 list.
