21 & Over
A year ago, almost to the day, a high school party film called 'Project X' took me by surprise by how surprisingly entertaining it was. It had no known actors in the cast, a modest budget, and a low concept storyline. And yet it was way more fun and more exciting than it had any right to be. And the same can be said for '21 & Over'. This one's basically a hybrid between every great teen through thirty-something party film. (Think 'The Hangover' starring Harold & Kumar mixed with 'American Pie') with a trio of former high school buddies who could be mistaken as the younger brothers of Vince Vaughn, Jonathan Silverman, and John Cho. It's outrageous, profane, out of control, very funny, and a lot of fun. Though, perhaps it's just me living out those crazy college experiences I never had. Who's up for some beer pong?
