Dominic Cooper and Samuel Jackson star in this pretty standard thriller about a successful district attorney who accidentally hits a man while driving home after a night of drinking. He calls 911, leaves the scene of the crime, and then feels guilty when another man is arrested for the crime. The first half seems to have potential to be a better than average thriller, but as with many films, it fails to deliver anything of interest in the final half. The cast is better than the average script deserves, making this an enjoyable enough watch despite the mediocrity of the script.
'Reasonable Doubt' is now available in limited release in theaters but also at home on Video on Demand.
Who is this movie for? Most would probably find it watchable, but very few will find it to actually be worth their time. You can do better.
