Breathe In

Felicity Jones plays a foreign exchange student who moves in with the picture perfect family for one semester of high school.  Guy Pearce and Amy Ryan play the seemingly happy parents, but is their happiness just a facade, or are any of our seemingly happy lives really just covers for what our hearts really desire?  This drama is well acted and well cast but never really goes beyond what you expect.  It is a better choice than Pearce's other film premiering on VOD this week, 'Hateship Loveship', but I sure wish he'd get back to material that really blows us away.

Grade: B-

Who is this movie for?  Those who appreciate the fragility of any picture perfect family.
