For No Good Reason

Art docs seem to be all the rage these days.  And despite not being an art aficionado, I generally like them very much!  But this one about artist Ralph Steadman was a struggle for me to stay focused on.  It's so abstract and artsy-fartsy, just like his artwork, that I'm not even sure how to accurately describe its focus.  It includes his relationship with the equally vexing Hunter S. Thompson, and the King of Cool, Johnny Depp, accompanies him for his interviews, but even Johnny doesn't add any fun to this doc.  Frankly I loathed it as much as I did 'Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas'.

Grade: D

Who is this for?  The artsy-fartsy hipster crowd.  I can come up with no good reason for anyone else to see it.
