Lucky Them

When it comes to indie dramedies, you don't get a much better cast than Toni Collette and Thomas Hayden Church.  And they're both absolutely perfect here as a music critic and amateur documentary filmmaker, respectively, in search of a Kurt Cobain-ish once-worshipped musician who inspired the world and then disappeared ten years earlier.  Is he still alive or are they just chasing a ghost?  And as if that's not enough, the great Oliver Platt also appears in this funny, dramatic, poignant, and pretty damn perfect indie dramedy.

'Lucky Them' is now in limited release in theaters and also available at home on Video on Demand.

Grade: A

Who is this movie for?  It's a must see for fans of Collette, Church, and indie/festival-type dramedies.  I saw it at TriBeCa and just saw it again on VOD and loved it even more the second time around.
