Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon

You may know what a mensch is, but chances are you've never heard of Shep Gordon.  And after seeing this documentary, I can't help but wonder why.  One would think a man who accidentally became friends with such rock stars as Janis Joplin and Jimmie Hendrix, the manager responsible for the careers of many including Alice Cooper and Emeril Lagasse, and the confidant of such A-listers as Michael Douglas and Mike Myers (who directed the film as a labor of love), would be known by more than just celebrities.  But now you too can hear the legend of Shep Gordon right from the horse's mouth.  It's an interesting watch for anyone interested in a look behind the curtain of Hollywood and classic rock.

Grade: B+

Who is this movie for?  Fans of documentaries about interesting people who led interesting lives related to classic rock and Hollywood.
